I hope this does not make me a bad person but….
I think it is great that someone took a teenager with down syndrome to prom I do but see I work with several with disabilities and I do just post it all over the web basically bragging about it or having people repost it saying” how sweet it is” yes it is sweet but I do not think you need to make a big deal out of it. They are just like you and me they just learn differently.
I do not post pictures of my kids with disabilities all over or treat them any different then people I hang with. They make me so happy and I do not need pictures or reminders from people to make me feel like a good person. I already feel like a million bucks when their smiling faces look up at me when they accomplished something.
